| The Southern Nevada Zoological-Botanical Park invites you to participate in Wildlife Adventures! This program provides general background information and guidelines for teachers of grades K-5 to use in the classroom in order to reinforce wildlife education. These instructional materials are designed to take the students on an exciting quest into the future of wildlife survival. |
Our zoo has the largest "mob" of swamp wallabies in the United States. As you can see, more are arriving all the time! |
| For students in grades K-5, the focus is on specific animal groups, their evolution, morphological characteristics, and unique behaviors. We then begin to place animals in their natural habitats, learn about entire ecosystems, and about the adaptations that allow animals to survive in those ecosystems. |
